The WSC Programme was launched in January 2000 as a partnership between the Language Center and the School of Business and Management (SBM). Developed and administered by the Language Center, the programme is implemented in conjunction with SBM subject teachers. The purpose of the programme is to provide communication skills enhancement to undergraduate SBM students through core and required courses. Subject-linked written assignments are assessed by a team of full-time Assessment Tutors, who are also available for face-to-face consultations to discuss the SBM written assignments with participating students. The WSC team are also actively involved in the development and teaching of communication skills workshops which focus on business-related topics for undergraduate SBM students.
